Carlo Bergonzi 1736 Violin, interpretation of
Carlo Bergonzi’s instruments are extremely rare and rank just behind Stradivari and Guarneri in significance. Little is known of Bergonzi’s life but elements of both of the great masters can be identified in his work as well as evidence showing a connection with the Rugeri family. His instruments offer a strong, dark, clear and layered sound.
This copy of the Bergonzi is an excellent violin for advancing students.
