Description
The Helicore Violin A string has a multi-stranded steel core and there is a choice of either Titanium winding or Aluminium winding. The Titanium winding provides a solution for violinists whose body chemistry is naturally corrosive to aluminium. The Titanium A string is tonally brighter, more focused, and thinner in diameter than its aluminium-wound counterpart, but retains the quick bow response and short settling time characteristic of other Helicore strings.
The Stranded steel core of the Helicore gives the string a clear warm sound. Pitch stability and string longevity are excellent. Helicore are also often used as the preferred string for electric violins.
