Jargar Cello A string

£25.95

The Jargar Cello A string has for many years been synonymous with excellent value, professional quality. It has a flexible steel core which gives it the warm and brilliant Jargar sound and has for many years been the best selling Cello A string.

The Jargar Cello A and D are often the first choice when chosen as part of a mixed set with other brands. Jargar cello strings are a result of nearly 60 years tradition of hand made cello strings developed by a cellist for cellists and today are still one of the best selling cello strings producing a warm and powerful tone.

Their playability, sound qualities and durability make them the perfect choice for both amateurs and professionals.

Available here as a single A string or as part of a set and is available in either Medium, Forte (heavy), or Dolce (soft) gauge.

Advice from a cello teacher: “Jargar cello A strings are the best – unbeatable – but they are prone to snap when new. I recommend tuning it to a lower pitch, say G, for a few hours and then going back and slowly bringing it up to pitch and never cross wind on the peg – make sure it is neatly coiled around the peg”
