The Jargar Viola C string and more generally, Jargar Viola strings have long been a favourite with viola players. They are made of a very flexible steel core and wound with chrome-steel, producing a big, powerful and well balanced tone.

The C string is also available as Silver Sound with an upper winding of pure silver, which makes the sound more like a gut string. The G and C Silver Sound for viola is often combined with the normal A and D strings as a set to create a warmer and more round sound.
