The Rotosound Superb Double Bass string set RS4000M has a nylon core.

Rotosound Superb double bass strings are great for Jazz and Rockabilly styles of playing. The G and D strings are nylon on a nylon core. The A and E are monel flatwound on a nylon core. They are super-flexible and easy to play in all positions with a comfortable soft feel, a lighter tension than most steel strings, and a good tone and volume.

Please note that these strings do not have ‘Ball Ends’ but rather loops on the tailpiece end of the strings. Looped bass strings are installed by wrapping the string around the hole in the tailpiece and back through the loop – similar to strings on a classical guitar.
