    I was recomended to buy Dogal strings as my viola is old and there was a concern that modern strings, might damage the instrument. I have been delighted. The tone is very mellow (you have to work a bit to make them sound very loud but that’s fine for me) and the brass looks pretty good on the old gal. One of them is just beginning to fail on me after nearly 10 months of daily use. I think that that is good value!
