It is very popular for education purposes, being lightweight and very strong, making it well suited to student instruments as it is virtually unbreakable and will not cause any allergic reaction. For Violas 14″ and smaller, please use the equivalent violin chinrest (14″=4/4, 13″=3/4 and 12″=1/2 size violin)
